upay joins hands with SR Parcel for electronic toll payment service across Bangladesh - A step towards enhancing digital payment ecosystem

[Dhaka, 01 August 2024] Fast-growing mobile financial service provider upay has recently partnered with SR Parcel for enabling electronic payment at different toll plazas, which will contribute significantly to strengthen digital payment ecosystem.

Under this agreement, SR Parcel Services Ltd. will be able to avail automatic toll payment via upay at the toll plazas of selected national bridges and highways across Bangladesh. All vehicles of SR Parcel will be able to avail seamless and convenient electronic toll payment service via upay.

To this end, a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed recently in the presence of distinguish leaders from both organizations, which includes ATM. Tahmiduzzaman, Member, Board of Directors at upay and Asif Rabbani, Managing Director, SR Parcel Services Ltd;.

As of now, SR Parcel vehicles can have this facility at four toll plazas — Bhanga toll plaza, Dhaleswari toll plaza, Charshindur bridge toll plaza, and Meghna and Gomti toll plaza, and enjoy 10% discount on toll payment as well. In addition, upay’s electronic toll payment system will soon be available at various toll plazas of Chattogram, Sylhet, and Khulna Division.
